GMA challenges state campaign finance law The Grocery Manufacturers Association is striking back against a Washington state lawsuit alleging the association violated the state's campaign finance disclosure laws. In a civil rights claim filed earlier this month, GMA alleges that the state attorney general's office violated its civil rights by unconstitutionally enforcing state laws. The association also is challenging the constitutionality of having to register as a political action committee before it can raise money to campaign for or against a state ballot initiative.
